Memento Stitch – Embroidery Workshop with Louise Saxton
Join artist Louise Saxton in Memento Stitch, a hands-on embroidery workshop that explores reclaiming vintage fabrics through the power of stitching.
Inspired by her artwork Linen Draw participants will have the opportunity to honour a special person in their life. Learn about Saxton’s processes and motivations as you create your own personalised keepsake to take home.
Materials will be provided; however, you are encouraged to bring your own piece of fabric to embroider. Linen doilies, tea cloths, tray cloths or handkerchiefs can be used, but fabric must be at least 30cm x 30cm.
While a basic knowledge of stitching is helpful, this workshop is suitable for all abilities.
Ticket Price – $30
Concession – $20
RMIT Student – $10
