John Pastoriza Piñol’s practice is rooted in the history of botanical painting as a mechanism to understand the world around us. Precise, yet alluringly ambiguous, his highly detailed works are characterised by their vibrant and luminous colours, giving life to exotic and rare botanical specimens. John Pastoriza Piñol is represented by Scott Livesey Galleries, Melbourne.
