Artist Roseanne Bartley came into the gallery yesterday and told us it was time to ‘activate’ her work – One More For The Road. This is part of the Joyaviva exhibition.
The charm’s function is to activate road safety awareness amongst locals.
Activation releases the charm’s powerful properties. But you don’t need a magic wand – a white pen has been supplied.
Here is what you do: write “In Loving Memory” or ILM – on one of the little crosses (which have been made out of found car fragments) as you are thinking of the person who has passed away.
Everyone has someone to remember. So, please come in to RMIT Gallery and add your mark to the work and activate the charm.
The artist writes: “Wider public engagement is invited, by contributing the name of a loved one to an intimate collective public memorial…..”
