Artist reflection

Description

For many artists participating in the Mastermakers, the RMIT Gallery contemporary jewellery exhibition, masterclasses are presented as a new way of approaching making in the studio, a way of thinking and feeling about the relationship between tool and experiencing materials through hand and mind.

The masterclasses also provided the opportunity for visiting International artists and exhibitions, to see and experience contemporary jewellery in the ‘flesh’, to open our minds to new way of seeing contemporary jewellery.

Is that the experience of the artist involved?

Join Bix Dixon-Ward, Nicholas Bastin and Marian Hosking as they unpack the masterclass experience.
